About Us

Run Tucson is Southern Arizona's premier charity-based running and walking event company, producing high-profile, popular events at regional destinations. Founded by the husband and wife team, Randy and Tia Accetta, Run Tucson produces such events as the TMC Meet Me Downtown 5k, the TMC A-Mountain Half-Marathon, the TMC Earth Day 5k at the Biosphere 2, the Saguaro National Park Labor Day Run, and the Grand Canyon Trail Half Marathon.

Randy Accetta, Ph.D., recently retired as a Lusch Mentor in Residence at the University of Arizona’s McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship. He was named the 2021-2022 Entrepreneurship Teacher of the Year. For any entrepreneurship questions, Randy can be reached at randy@runtucson.net
